Cinewall

It’s a familiar situation: you want good sound in the living room, but you can’t or prefer not to house speakers in your interior. The Cinewall system brings the solution…

A Cinewall consists of a frame just under 17 cm deep, which is hung on the wall. In the centre of the Cinewall, space is provided for your TV, while the rest is finished with a high-quality, acoustically transparent fabric. As the fabrics are available in more than 60 different colours, the Cinewall can be optimally integrated into your interior. And if required, you can also have the colour of the frame customised on request.

Acoustically transparent

What makes the Cinewall so special is the acoustically transparent fabric. There are other fabrics that are supposedly acoustically transparent, but in practice this usually turns out to be disappointing. The high tones then have difficulty getting through, giving the sound a nasal tone. The Cinewall fabrics were developed to be used as speaker cloth on the grilles of high-end speakers. This means that, in practice, these fabrics do not have any audible impact on sound reproduction.

Stereo or surround?

Thanks to these high-performance fabrics, it is possible to mount speakers – completely invisible – in the Cinewall. On the left and right, there is room to accommodate a set of generously sized stereo speakers. Moreover, there is also room in the Cinewall for one or two matching subwoofers. This way, the full frequency spectrum can be reproduced – right down to the lowest tones – without visible speakers.

The Cinewall is also available in a surround version. In addition to the stereo (left/right) speakers and subwoofers, a centre speaker is then also added.

Speakers

The superior fabrics are a basic prerequisite for making the Cinewall concept possible, but the final sound quality is determined just as much by the speakers used in it.

The Monitor Audio speakers are completely invisible behind the acoustically transparent cloth.

The Cinewall systems installed by Sonic Images are equipped with high-quality Monitor Audio speakers, which combine limited installation depth with excellent sound reproduction. There are several quality levels to choose from, but even the entry-level version sounds significantly better than what you typically hear from a soundbar. The Cinewall speaker system sounds remarkably musical, but it is also very suitable for home cinema applications.

Also for my TV?

The Cinewall is suitable for TVs from 43” to 65”, and the XL version can even be used with TVs up to 86″.

And what about the equipment?

It depends. If you opt for a stereo solution – with or without additional subwoofers – and all you need is digital TV, Netflix (or a similar service) and streaming audio (Sonos, for example), all equipment can be invisibly built into the Cinewall. The whole system can be controlled by an app, so you don’t even have to touch the Cinewall when you use it.

What sets Sonic Images’ Cinewall systems apart

All Sonic Images Cinewall systems are custom-built, in Belgium. The construction quality and level of finishing are of the highest standard. In addition, the quality of the transparent fabrics is exceptionally good. In practice, this means that you cannot see through the fabric but that the sound of the speakers is indeed transmitted 1:1.
